Complete ventilation system for Pavilion Gardens
What was needed?
The client wanted the kitchen to be front of house to be able to put on a real show for the customers.
Full sets of drawings and specifications were needed on the system for the client to pass to Brighton & Hove City Council.
Being that gas appliances were being installed and aircon we had to make sure we had to have the air flow perfectly balanced.
The only space to put all the plant was a small space in the courtyard.
Noise and odour were a big issue with surrounding offices/residents.
What we provided
Full set of drawings and specifications on noise and odour control for the client to submit for planning, environmental health & heritage council of Brighton & Hove. These were produced by our in-house design team that were on hand at all times answering any questions needed.
A 304 grade stainless steel front of house extraction canopy, complete with fresh air plenum to front with 2 double deflection grilles allowing incoming air to be pointed in any direction & to supply 85% fresh air make up to pass gas safety regulations. Flush mounted stainless steel twin fluorescent vapour proof light fitting, drip trays for grease and removable/washable baffle filters.
Galvanised ducting followed on from canopy outside into small courtyard were all plant was sited. firstly 2 ESP’s (Electrostatic precipitators) to help eliminate any grease and smoke followed by a 2 stage carbon filter housing complete with G4 panel filters and site safe carbon filters to help eradicate any smells caused by heavy cooking.
A 3 phase heavy duty acoustic box fan was then installed followed by a vertical discharge and attenuator to help reduce any airflow noise.
Fresh air fan installed was a single phase acoustic box fan complete with changeable G4 panel filter to help prevent any dust & or flies being blown into the kitchen area.
Full gas interlock installation completed by our gas safe engineers and electrical engineers. Tested and commission all ready for opening day!
